Well in an attempt to get back out walking, Dartmoor and Coastal walks, ive managed to get bitten by the Geocaching bug ^^

Sooo ive signed up to Groundspeak.com , and loving it, also splashed out on the Active 10 SatMap ( to kinda replace my Garmin eTrek ) , though there is no software for the apple mac for the active 10 yet

But it is really a great piece of kit, though if you go for it, then invest in the poly battery pack

Well ive got the battery pack too, was a little tuff replacing the battery holder with the battery pack, but with a flat head screwdriver and a little force it was sorted ^^.

I find using the active 10 in map mode a god send, as the pointers on most hand held GPS’s seem too point all over the place when you get real close to the destination, whereas the map mode you can see more clearly where you are at

There is going to be a total eclipse on the Moon tonight, so i am hoping to at least get a few shots direct from my camera ( as i still can not yet attach it to the scope! )

Well, i really must get some photos done.

Hopefully i shall have a T-Ring and mounting system for my scope soon, and that i have mastered the all important “polar alignment” of my scope ( otherwise any shot over about 20seconds will blur, good for star tails though!! )

Well WordPress has rolled out version 2.1 … so here goes ….. and i’ll see what plugins get broken in the process!!!!

And it is ALIVE ….. a few plugins are dead, some are in shock, but i’ll fix those later on ….

Well, we are back and had a wonderful time, so much so, that i really do want to go back there again.
Some photos will be published here as a “day by day” thing, but alot of the Family and personal stuff will go to my dot mac account as that is going to be password protected, so only family and friends can see it.

Though i may use the password protect feature in Wordpress here for some personal stuff, i’ll see which is easer, More than likley it will be the dot mac way, as i can simply publish from iPhoto!

Just got myself the cokin filter system, plus a ND4 filter, will have to save for the polariser though as it is £50, and my old one off the film camera does not function with the digital ( everything is blurred, even using manual focus! )
