Ok ( sadly ) the time has come, Garmin have increased their tariff’s for the inReach, which is my current PLB / Message Sat system to almost double what i used to pay for it ( though the US prices have remained very similar to what they were! )
So whilst not as 100% reliable im going for the Spot Gen 3 and we’ll see how that preforms, if nothing else it will be good enough as an SOS beacon….And it will be saving me nearly £15 a month on subscriptions!
Oh.. only thing is, its not capable of receiving texts ( only sending out a few )
