** Currently not done this ride recently ** ** UPDATE TO FOLLOW SOON WHEN DONE! **
I have rated this also as a blue classed mountainbike ride simply down to its distance and relitive remoteness of the area, you need to pack the correct gear for this ride, as its a long ( but quick downhill ) ride back.
So the Puffin Billy tram line starts from SX65796 57219 or for you What3Words people https://w3w.co/lingering.double.snapper Parking for a few cars and just below here.
The track / Ride itself is really easy to navigate. You just follow the track, which also follows the Dartmoor Way / Two Moors Way. You will pass places such as Hangershell Rocks (love it here), Sharp Tor, and Left Lake at SX64677 63472. Left Lake is always a nice spot to stop. Then, continue on past Brown Heath to Crossways. Here, you can choose to stop and turn around, or if the ground allows, continue on to Red Lake.
The section between Crossways and Red Lake can be tricky. This part of the ride retains the wet for much longer! Also when reaching Crossways there is a bridlepath that leads off to the River Avon where the bridlepath follows it down to the Dam, but we are not going this way, on this ride!
Once you have followed the track up to Red Lake, possibly carrying bike in places if mega wet here!, take in that view. Enjoy the peace. Also, enjoy the way back now, as much of that is downhill!
